The Takarazuka Musical Revue is a Japanese all female musical theater. It is famous for having women in Breeches Roles - which means women playing men’s parts in stage productions. In other words - DRAG GALORE! :) Founded in 1913, all women were chosen to as a novelty, and to overcome the unacceptable nature of two unmarried opposite sex actors kissing - instead these scenes were implied in the revue.
